Up in Thy, you'll find two super cool guys who decided to bring soda pop ice cream back into fashion – if it ever went out of style, that is? It all started when they experimented with making soda pop ice cream, and suddenly one day, they hit a recipe that they both thought was the best soda pop ice cream they had ever tasted. Therefore, they felt compelled to share it with others, and that’s how Vild Is began. They are committed to organic produce, local production, transparency, and high quality.
Vild Is is located in Sønderhå, Thy and collaborates with Thy Økobær owned by the Nielsen family, now in its 5th generation, from whom they source berries for their soda pop ice cream production. The flavors include currants, blackcurrants, raspberries, gooseberries, and sea buckthorn, all picked just 50 meters from where they are processed.
If you drive by, you can pick your own delicious, organic berries at Thy Økobær, and visit the small farm shop where Vild Is sells its ice cream, along with other homemade treats featuring the berries.
Remember that you can rent a car on GoMore for your trip.
