Christine's recommendations for a day trip from Graz

It’s finally the season of leaving the city, driving romantic roads, strolling through vineyards and enjoying delicious and typical food, so don’t miss out on Christine’s personal recommendations for a day trip to experience what the locals call the Styrian Tuscany.

Christine and her friend recently rented a car in Graz and ventured out of the city to vineyards, lunch in the sun and walks in beautiful surroundings. You can watch how they spent a beautiful day in the following video.

Pick up the chosen GoMore car and drive outside the city. In just 40 minutes, you’ll find yourself in the rolling hills of Southern Styria. Take a stroll through the vineyards and when you feel like taking a break, sit down and enjoy the amazing view. Maybe you even brought a blanket and some snacks for a proper picnic? With this view, it will for sure be a success and an unforgettable experience!

And when you’re hungry and want to eat like the locals do, visit a traditional Austrian Buschenschank (wine tavern). There are more than 200 Buschenschänke in this region, where they serve you a delicious platter of cold cuts along with homemade bread and last but not least, a glass of wine from the region which it is famous for. Fresh and fragrant wines are produced in this region with the flagship variety being the Sauvignon Blanc. Enjoy a glass if you’re not the driver, of course, and if you are, the homemade grape juices are equally enjoyable. Take a seat on the dreamy panoramic terrace or in a rustic interior room. Those who stop at a Buschenschank are always welcomed with regional delicacies, outstanding wines and a good portion of hospitality.

Christine and her friend enjoyed their trip with this handpicked itinerary a lot. You can do the same and rent a car on GoMore to follow Christine’s lead for a great day in the Styrian Tuscany. We wish you a nice trip!
